滙豐銀行宣布，由周五（20日）起，下調港元最優惠利率12.5點子，由年利率5.375厘調低至5.25厘。滙豐對上一次於2024年11月11日調整港元最優惠利率，當時減息25點子。
同時，滙豐給予港元儲蓄存款戶口的利率亦調低12.5點子。滙豐對上一次於2024年11 月11日調整港元儲蓄存款戶口利率，當時減息25點子。滙豐給予全面理財總值達100萬港元及以上的額外年利率維持0.001%。
另外，滙豐自周五起下調美元儲蓄存款戶口利率12.5點子，由年利率0.5%調低至0.375%。滙豐對上一次於2024年11月11日調整美元儲蓄存款戶口利率，當時減25點子。
滙豐香港區行政總裁林慧虹表示，隨着美國再次減息，滙豐決定調低港元存貸利率，自今年9月以來累計減幅達62.5個點子。展望2025年，利率走勢仍然存在很大不確定性。該行將繼續密切留意外圍環境及本地經濟前景，並準備在需要時調整利率。
