愛爾蘭男星施利安梅菲（Cillian Murphy）憑去年賣座二次世界大戰傳記電影《奧本海默》（Oppenheimer）以大熱姿態勇奪《奧斯卡》影帝寶座，今次是施利安首次獲《奧斯卡》提名，結果一擊即中獲獎，認真巴閉！
施利安撃敗多位強勁對手包括《大師級愛情》（Maestro）男星畢利谷巴（Bradley Cooper）、《魯斯汀：民運推手》（Rustin）的美國男星Colman Domingo、《滯留生》（The Holdovers）的「雙料影帝」美國男星保羅基安馬提（Paul Giamatti）以及《美式小說》（American Fiction）美國男星Jeffrey Wright奪獎。現年47歲的施利安上台領獎時表示：「我哋拍攝一部有關一位男人創造原子彈嘅事，無論好壞，我哋全部都活喺奧本海默嘅世界，所以我想將個獎向四周圍嘅和平使者致敬。」此外，施利安亦有多謝有出席的兩名兒子，並自稱是「今晚非常驕傲的愛爾蘭人」。
施利安在《奧斯卡》之前已在多個頒獎禮包括《金球獎》、「英國奧斯卡」《英國影視藝術文化學院頒獎禮》以及《演員工會獎》等先後勇奪影帝。
