加拿大在野保守黨籍國會議員Don Stewart痛批，「當無法無天的抗議者在蒙特利爾進行暴力示威時，總理在跳舞，這就是自由黨政府建立的加拿大」，他還貼出2條影片作為對比，左側為示威現場，右側則是杜魯多在演唱會現場隨歌曲《You Don't Own Me》起舞。
杜魯多23日發聲譴責，稱示威行徑「令人震驚」，並譴責「反猶太主義、恐嚇和暴力行為」，誓言將責任追究到底。
