新一屆立法會70名議員今日逐一宣誓就職，多名非建制議員早前揚言會在誓詞中加料，當新丁議員游蕙禎以英文宣誓時，第一次宣讀時加入了「為香港人爭取利益」等內容，又提及Hong Kong Nation(香港國)的字眼；到第二次重新宣誓時，則更疑似爆粗，疑將People's Republic of China中的Republic讀成「Re-fxxking」、而China則疑讀作「支那」。
游蕙禎的舉動遭秘書長指改變了誓詞，秘書長更指游手持物品展示「Hong Kong is not China」，令他質疑游是否了解立法會議事，未能為她監誓，故未能過關。
其他新任議員包括姚松炎、梁頌恆今早宣誓就職時，亦分別因在誓詞加料及展示港獨標語，而被立法會秘書長陳維安宣布無法為他們完成監誓，至最後一名宣誓的新任議員羅冠聰宣誓完成後，質疑秘書長無權判定以上三人宣誓無效，其後多名非建制議員步出與陳維安理論，陳維安需宣布會議暫停，情況一度混亂，其後立法會會議約於下午2時35分始能恢復。
游蕙禎宣誓全文：
第一次:"I Yau Wai Ching do solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Hong Kong Nation(香港國), and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Values of Hong Kong."
第二次:(將Hong Kong is not China旗幟放在宣誓台前) I Yau Wai Ching do solemnly sincerely and turly declare and affirm that, being a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Re-fucking of 支那, I will uphold the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Re-fucking of 支那, bear allegiance to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Re-fucking of 支那 and serve the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region conscientiously, dutifully, in full accordance with the law, honestly and with integrity.
